Training Videos:
The FERPA and ABUSE videos do have a known sync issue where the audio and video do not match. We apologize for this and are working on a solution for future trainings.

Training videos are in Windows Media Video (WMV) format. These can be easily viewed in Windows Media Player. Clicking on the link for the videos should open up Windows Media Player. if the video is choppy,  Depending on the speed of your connection you may need to pause the video for a few moments and then press play again.

MAC users can view WMVs with a WMV addon for Quicktime. This can be downloaded at Microsoft here:


Documents:
Training documents are PDFs. MAC users should be able to open automatically. If you can not open them on a PC you can download Adobe Reader free here:

Directions for Region IX Districts for Completing Online Learning Modules

Family Educational Rights & Privacy Act / Reporting Suspected Substance Abuse or Child Abuse at School
1. View training videos (links for each below)
2. Complete online post-test (links for each test below)
3. Sign training documentation log located with building secretary/district designee
    (*Note: Your signature is your verification that you have completed the online learning
       module and post-test.) [if the secretary/designee does not have one yet a sign in sheet is            located below]
4. Contact Cathy Jones or Dahn Freed at Region IX Education Cooperative for follow-up
       support or clarification on general requirements/guidance
5. Contact immediate supervisor for building/program specific guidance

At the end of September, each district will fax the signed training log to REC IX. Attendance and post-test results will be validated. A certificate of completion will be mailed to district/program Human Resource department.
